i don't feel old, but i get a little freaked out sometimes by my reflection in the mirror. how many good years do i have left? that is out of my control. i wish i could say that it wasn't a little scary, but it is! when people say, "i'm getting older"- i say" yes, with any luck"....but i don't want to be old if it means being a burden on my children and grandchildren. i don't like to ask for help..i want to believe i can do it all mostly on my own. lately i'm feeling my control is slipping a bit...i feel that life is controlling me instead.

watched some old home movies tonight from 1987 and 1988...how the time flies....seeing people long gone living life, doing the mundane little things we thought were so forgettable, now, so priceless...glad i have them!
